Studio 635 Partners with Freedom is Not Free on a Support the Troops Compilation Album
At the beginning of the year, Studio 635 of Pittsburgh, PA decided to record a compilation album in support of the men and women that serve in the United States Military. After watching a news program about the daily life of a soldier in active duty, they discovered that most soldiers listen to heavy rock and metal music. Immediately, Jesse Belcastro and Marc Giuliani of Studio 635 began contacting the very best bands around offering free recording time in exchange for use of the songs for the album. Over the next 6 months they recorded 11 bands both in the studio and live in order to get the tracks for the Support the Troops compilation album.

Also, Treelady Studios in Turtle Creek, PA offered to master the entire album for free. Other local businesses offered to print T-shirts and posters and other marketing materials to help spread the word about this noble effort on behalf of the troops. Marc Giuliani did most of the engineering for the album and all of the design work.
The goals of the compilation album are two-fold. First, copies of the CD will be sent to the men and women in active service in Afghanistan and Iraq to let them know that we appreciate the sacrifice they make for all of us. Also, Studio 635 is selling the CD stateside to raise money for the Freedom is Not Free Foundation aiding the families of killed or injured soldiers.

Thank you to the soldiers that fight for our freedom and for their homeland!!

Noah’s Ark
Film Los Angeles, California
Los Angeles filmmaker Blu de Golyer is working on a project called Noah's Ark. The film chronicles the last voyage of a homeless veteran named Noah Hamilton. The film is being funded entirely by a nationwide can and bottle drive. So far the response and press have been amazing and the cans are rolling in. To date, nearly $19,000 has been raised through bottles and cans alone. The producers want to give back to the community, while still keeping on track with the film. They decided to go to corporations and ask that they match every can we collect with a nickel to be placed in a charity. Freedom Is Not Free is one of three charities that will receive a contribution. To learn more about the project, visit http://www.noahsarkfilm.com
