MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS
DISCHARGED SERVICE-MEMBER MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
What do I do with my life now that I am no longer in the
military?
This is a question that arises for many of our brave men
and women after they have left the service of our nation. It is a time of transition,
life-style changes and, often, a great deal of confusion and uncertainty.
And, for those who were wounded, the situation is even more complex and riddled
with complications.
The FREEDOM IS NOT FREE Purple Heart Board is currently working to establish a mentorship
program intended to guide our heroes and assist them in making healthy, productive
and constructive choices regarding their future. The program will pair wounded service
members with business and educational mentors from the community at large. Together,
they can work to answer questions that arise and to overcome issues and obstacles.

MENTOR AND PAL PROGRAM
The children of our fatally wounded
service members suffer not only from the devastating loss of a parent, but also
from the disappearance of a significant contributor to their growth, development
and education.
FREEDOM IS NOT FREE is developing networks to offer support to these children through
academic tutoring partnerships, Big Brother / Big Sister associations and YMCA Program
direction and assistance.
